AUDIOCONFERENCE OVERVIEW
|
|
Last year, Eli Lilly became the first drug company to begin disclosing its medical education grants on its website. Pfizer is on the verge of implementing similar measures. Meanwhile, most of the 14 other drug and device companies responding to Senator Charles Grassley's recent inquiry on this subject indicate they plan to follow suit in fairly short order. This is widely seen as the beginning of broader efforts on the part of drug and device companies of all sizes to increase transparency of their grants and gifts. This audioconference will feature several leading executives in the forefront of these efforts. It will focus on the operational challenges facing companies, the overall goals of transparency, and the practical implementation of these measures. It will also include important updates on the state and federal legislative initiatives driving this issue.
